report related to the Mini-Bee VTOL hybrid project carried out by a team consisting of Inalda Maëva Kouyimoussou, Ahmed Dialo, Jacques Henry, Éric Combes, Théo Maubert, and Hugo Lechevalier. The project was commissioned by Xavier Dutertre and supervised by M. Azzouz and Mme Riachy. The team aimed to design a hybrid vertical takeoff and landing vehicle for medical purposes that could fit into two LD3 containers using a Rotax 915iS engine. The team considered two different propulsion architectures and concluded that the DC configuration was advantageous. The team conducted tests on AC motors and experimented with different components for voltage variation. The team also familiarized themselves with power electronics and learned about the functioning of electric machines and their components. The team faced difficulties in testing motors without a coupled load and in managing the team and project. The team concluded by proposing solutions for the next team and planning to create a database for easy handover.
